Dedicated Servers (i know. but somone should make a sticky)

I can't get my dedicated server to show on Gamespy or the built-in viewer (any server i host actually) i have a router, but i opened the right ports (28070) so how come it isn;t working?

 

im a noob so explain in detail please.

 

P.S. i can view it on a local level, but it never shows on the server lists, even if i add my ip to the favs. AND i double checked to make sure it isn't set for "LAN Dedicated". it is set on Internet dedicated i am 100% sure

for gamespy u have to put in

seta sv_master2 "master0.gamespy.com"

then for master u can put in:

seta sv_master1 "masterjk2.ravensoft.com"

and then for another 1 u can put in

seta sv_master2 "clanservers.net"

 

 

btw this all goes into ur server.cfg file
