Lightsaber and level help

First question: On the xbox is there a way to turn the lightsaber off and remain in 3rd person mode? If you lose the saber you sometimes get it back and can run around with just the handle, then power the sucker up.

 

Second question: I am stuck on NS streets, I have battled all along walkways, fallen through a skylight to extend a bridge and worked my way up and am standing on a ledge. The next walkway I cannot jump to, down to my right is a door I cannot open and up a bit is switch with a green light and red light, when the cursor hovers over it, it shows that it reacts to the force but push/pull do not work. I cannot see where else to jump and retracing my steps has not helped.

 

On the same walkway and a craft glides under occasionally and in the distance is a floating craft with people that shoot, I have shot them and asume that is the way.

 

Hope this is enough description, please help.

u need to jump on the craft, and then to the building. just save your game before u do that. this is for the pc version. i am assuming the x-box is the same.
