adding lights and other stuff...HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

I am trying to make a map for my clan and I cant add a light or an info thing or anything to the map only make brushes. when I right click on the main editing window it brings up a menu with this on it:

select >

ungroup entity

make detail

make structual

grouping:display names

bunch of grayed out stuff

hide waypoint chidren

unhide waypoint children

hide all waypoints

smart entities >

world spawn

 

 

 

 

I cant get the menu to give me the option to add anything else like a startpoint or a light....please help me:(

Sounds like you need to reinstall radiant, looks like you didnt install it right. You read Rich Diesals tutorials?

Before reinstalling go to File\Project settings and check that the paths are correct!

and it worked just fine now it wont.....and what would be good dimensions for a extra large 6 person box???

Why would you make a box? That will be boring for a map.

 

If you want to make a map for practice then follow that tutorial. After that download some user made maps and look at them. They are definetely not boxes. Even the rooms aren't boxes.

what are the file paths supposed to be by default....I installed game to default directory:confused:

When it asks for the base path then put in the "C:\Program files\.......\GameData\base" and so on the others.
