I made a table that is to scale with Kyle. I put two blaster ammo packs on this table to pick up, one right on the edge of the table.

I walk right up to the table and can't grab them.

 

Is there anything i need to do or can do make Kyle grab these items realisticly? Jumping on a table to get somethings is kinda lame.

For a SP level, I suggest a trigger around the table to run a script which gives you the weapon and removes the one on the table.

 

With a script and trigger you could also make it so Kyle won't pick it up until you 'use' it.

 

Only other option I know of is to force pull it off the table and into Kyle.

 

I don't know of any other way to pick up weapons and the like without actually walking on them.

 

The weapon rack model has weapons and other stuff you can pick up by walking up to it, but I believe the objects 'stick out' enough that Kyle actually collides with them.
