Dealing with fx_train

I was wondering if any one knew how I could make brushes that already had names (such as fx_runner) all into an fx_train. So the given effect would be the flame that I'm using moving across the screen from side to side.

Hmmm...fx_runner is an entity and not a regular brush so I don't think you can 'turn it into' anything.

 

In a SP map I would suggest trying a script to move the entity for you.

 

I don't know enough about shaders to know if you could make a func_train and give it a flaming shader/texture and get what you want. But it might be worth learning :)
