Mostly your map is probably that size because you're using custom textures in the *.tga format which, because of its complexity, creates a very large image file. If you are using custom textures, i'd recommend only making the more noticible textures a .tga, and the less noticible/smaller textures a .jpg. So basically, for the textures that you WANT to have a large amount of detail in them, keep those a .tga, for the ones that dont need such a large amount of detail (one colored textures for instance) make those .jpg.

EDIT:

Tip: When taking screenshots, do a "/cg_draw2d 0" in the console to get rid of the "spectator" bar at the bottom of the screen :-D.
