I thought I'd give it another shot: I've won monkey kombat and am trying to pick up the banana picker in the canyon on monkey island... but every time I do, Guybrush will just stand there, and the controls become useless. Timmy and the steam from the mines are animating fine, but all controls besides F1 just don't do anything. I've tried resuming from previous saves, installing the patch and reinstalling the game, but I keep having this problem at that point... Does anyone have any ideas about fixing this? brief Posted January 13, 2003 Share Posted January 13, 2003 Try picking up the banana picker before attempting anything near Monkey Kombat--the game messes up from time to time if you don't do things in the order that the programmers anticipated you would do.
