Need Help - Creation of the .PK3 File

I’m new at this so bear with me. I am trying to create a PK3 File for my BSP but have not had any luck. The Multiplayer menu does not see my PK3. I have download other PK3 files, put them in the base folder and can see and play them file. What am I missing?

 

I know about creating the folders and then renaming the ZIP to PK3.

 

Basically I need to know what are the minimum things that a PK3 must contain in order to run (be acknowledged by the game)

(Besides the .BSP in the maps folder what else is a must)

You need an arena file. You can easily create one with notepad and then edit the .txt extention so .arena. Then you place this into your scripts folder inside the pk3.

 

The arena script should look something like this:

 

{

map "duel_nrg_egypt"

longname "NRG Duel Egypt"

fraglimit 10

type "ffa duel"

}

 

You can edit the apropriate parts for your own. :-)
