OOM-9(2) Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Granadiers should be better v infintry. I mean, an explosive bomb could vaporize any troops easly, so why are the rubbish against them?

Besides being good vs. mechs, i think they do substantial damage to hvy. weapons. I also have a theory that they are effective at killing power droids. Strangley, i the last few games i built troopers in, i only used them.

But then i realised that they sucked against building. I expected them to be better then that though. they can't fight a strike rush. If those grenades could home in a liitle bit faster...
Darth Grant Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 Granadeirs are rubish!!!!!!!!!!! They may be "efective" against troopers, but what aren't. Anyway if you want to waste troopers why not just bring in some heavy assault/strike mechs. Also you can waste them with aircraft!

Maybe thats because you've never played me (wait a minute, pbguy, you did play me and grenadiers toasted your strike rush. Intresting:D). Grenadiers are my solution to people who think that they can beat my rush by going to t3. I cannot count the number of times grenadiers have saved my butt. All of you naysayers should be banned

I don't think anyone claimed that they were effective against infantry (which they aren't) besides darth grant. They are good for deflecting mechs, no argument can change it.

pbguy1211 Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 well, the whole simwiz thing revolved around him simply being slightly ignorant/misinformed of the situation(s)... and the fact that he's not allowed to use his computer for more than 40 minutes at a time because he can't act like an adult with his sister.
