JTSkywalker
Please please help me!! I've got a G4 dual 450, 640MB running Jaguar 10.2.3. I've recently comletely wipped my computer and made a fresh install, everything fully upto date, nice! I've re-installed my copy of Jedi Knight II, looking forward to some lightsaber action, and evertime it loads up the level (in single player) it crashes my machine?? The blue bar completes as to load the level, then just as we about to start - Bang CRASH wollop!!! Fuzzy white box saying ' You need to restart your machine ......' I had saved my Jedi Knight>Base file (game saves etc.) hoping to carry on where I had left off, but even with these installed it still crashes. I had this problem just before I wipped my machine, had hoped that a clean install might fix it, obviously not! Is there an update for the game I'm missing as I'm now on 10.2.3 as opposed to 10.2.'2' ?! Can anyone shed some light on this matter of urgence?! What can I do to try and fix this damn problem??? Thnx JT
Reborn22
If it didn't work before AND you reinstalled it both times (before the upgrade and after) it would help if you had the receipt for it, then take it back.. could be a bug in it so get a new one and try it if that doesn't work it's most likely your comp. I don't think I helped much, but it's the only thing I could think of, sorry.
mandricard
Sounds like a graphics card issue... I think you can start up holding the command or option key, and get some preference there. Try going to your USER directory ---> application support ----> JediKnight II ---> base and delete any file that ends .cfg Same with the MP folder. You can actually delete that whole JediKnight ii folder, and try again.
The_fig
I have the exact same problem, except I have a Dual 1Ghz G4 with 1.5gig ram on OS Jaguar. Let me know if you find out anything!
spizx
i have been having that problem exactly... i have been running jk2 in Mac OS 9 cause my eMac came with it, (800MHz G4 512MB RAM). in OS 9 it freezes up between the 2nd and 3rd levels and i can't go any further... that makes me mad... if anyone figures anything out, e-mail me, IM me or PM me. The_fig
I did some more experimenting and found that if I run my settings not quit at full I am ok. I think I would have to have a better better video card to run it on max video settings, so you might just want to try putting them on "low"
