Voodoo3 happy!!!

My system is: P2 450mhz, soundblaster live value, soho ethernet card w/cable internet, and of course, a Voodoo3 2000 video card

 

I have the most up to date driver from voodoofiles. This might be important.

Now. I'm new at this. But here's what I did that worked for me. After reading the thread titled,"Will JK2 run on voodoo 5", I took these steps:

 

1. Do a google search. A general search using the words, Jedi Knight Outcast Voodoo3 wickedgl download, Should yield 5 to 7 choices.

2. The Instructions I followed were under, "Voodoo Users l Troubleshooting Games". As you scroll down, you'll see fixes for specific games. Continue to scroll down until you come to Jedi Knight 2: Outcast. You should either save this page, or write out the insturctions.

3. Now, these insructions tell you to download wickedgl. If you go back to you're google search page, you'll find another link entitled, "News". Go to it.

4. Scroll down until you find the entry for 4/5/2002. Click on Voodoo3 tweaking.

5. Scroll all the way down. Virtually at the bottom, you will find the download link, "WickedGL v4.99 OpenGL Driver(127K)". Download the driver.

6. Finally, follow the insructions found earlier.

 

Now, I haven't played enough to know that this will work 100%. All I do know is that saved games no longer take forever to load up. And that alone made me sreech in esctasy!!! (Sorry, maybe a little too much information there). Hope it works out!
