Tigris
Program: GTK 1.2.11 with Q3Map2 Problem: All of a sudden all Textures on a certain hight level changed their upwards-face to what seems like chaulk, but whenever I look at it in GTK it still is shown as normal textured. Has anyone else bumped into a problem similar to this? I have multiple mirrroring textures that face up on that level, could they be involved? Leslie Judge
On SplashDamage forums there is a thread about disappearing brush faces. Check it out! If it's the same problem, then q3map2 2.3.38 solves it. At least the readme says.
Tigris
*crosses fingers* Hope it's just that I'll check it out! Thanks alot!
Tigris
Ok, that did it- but now I ran into the next problems- mirroring surfaces sometimes seem to have a "flicker" effect that seems like chaulk- entities (even behind walls) are drawn, but no reflection- anyone knowing a way around that please tell me how. AND (unfortunately) now some of my enteties are gone- some doors and a rotating sphere.

Leslie Judge
Hmm, somehow I missed your question two days ago. Anyway, I don't know what the solution is. When you write your entites are disappered that means ingame only? I hope so. How did you make the mirroring surfaces?
Tigris
Yes, in Radiant they are still present- it almost seems as if JK2 (Q3Engine) couldn't handle so many- but that obviously can't be true, because I bet there are levels out there with more enteties in them. I did some mirroring floor effects.
Leslie Judge
I mean with portal surface? Do you really need it? A glossy floor would not be enough?
Tigris
It really adds to the athmosphere, so I only would remove it if everything else fails- still I had them in the level before the entities disappeared.
Leslie Judge
No idea. If you compile with q3map2 I would say try to post about this on SplashDamage forums, because ydnar posts there regurarily, and if somebody, then he can give some advice.
