Aerothorn
I have a tech problem with Arx Fatalis- the speech cuts out in the cutscene, so I don't know what is happening. I contacted Jowood technical suppot...twice(Each for a different problem) and they never responded. I posted on the boards and got no help there. So what do I do? Darth Simpson
Give up? Seriously though, it would probably help if you listed your system specs, along with driver versions. I'd try reverting to an older driver for the sound card, or install a newer one if one exists. But we need more info.
Aerothorn
You made a serious post! Sorry didn't list specs cause I doubted anyone could help directly, was more thinking they might have an idea where to get help, but here they are: Intel Pentium IV 2 gigahertz processor Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card(Dumb Dell wasn't selling Audigy for some reason) GeForce 4 Ti 4200 512 MB Ram Windows XP Home And I'm forgetting to list some things but I dunno what... Darth Simpson
You might want to try decreasing your hardware sound acceleration level. Go to the Start menu ---> Run ---> Type 'dxdiag' and then go to the Sound tab. Slide the bar down a notch and see if that helps. No problems in other games I assume? Since I'm feeling helpful, I'll have a look around and see if I can find a solution too. Oh yeah, apply the patch too, if you haven't already. Get it here. Darth Simpson
Just read that changing your graphics driver might help your problem. Don't ask me why a video card driver would affect the game sound, but apparently Arx has some serious issues. Try installing the 30.82 driver from nVidia and see if that helps.
