Strike mech question

I was reading up on Trooper Wars on GB.com cause I haven't played in awhile. It says troopers beat strike mechs 4to1. Is this before or after CC1.1?

Something I also just thought of. Does anybody know the Dark Trooper vs Trooper/Hvy Trooper? I usually play GE so I was wondering.

With the CC 1.1 patch, Strike Mechs can take out a trooper normally in 2 shots. 4 troopers will not take out a single Strike mech.

I think Mr Fixit Online had some ratio information. Check the links section for their website url.

The problem was in T3 when you could get say 30 Heavy troopers for the price or 8 SM's and the SM's would lose terribly despite being there counter unit, there was absolutley no point in paying the res to go T3 when you could build more Troopers. They have after the patch made some nice changes, altough in 1v1's still go trooper wars, with a semi fast T3 and then a heavy boom.

If you do go t3 and your opponent is t2 massing troopers remember that SM's have more range so when the troopers get in range run the SM's backwards and fire. Then use another unit to kill his Grenaders. Remember 1 unit armys are bad :)

If you sent 250 probots 1 at a time against an upgraded assualt mech, the probots will lose. But with 250 at once can kill an asuualt mech (i've done it goofing off) I assume the 4 to 1 means 4 at a time, otherwise the strike could kill more.

One unit's use im not very sure on is artillery. good against buildings, some troopers, some mechs, other hvy. weapons, some ships---so is this just a good (but just an ok good) against a lot of units/ vulnerable to a lot also unit or does it have a more clear purpose? it is practically the only ranged t3 unit thats effective against buildings (bombers have 1 range, but the two are so unlike they can't be compared (air/land)). So that idea may be a star. but in t4 what's their uniqueness?

eerr... that was long i wonder if anyone read it.
