Psycicpillow
In CTF i am sick and tired trying to type "they are coming" and before even finishing getting shot and killed. I wish there was a way to bind a key to a chat message. Hmm now there is an idea anybody know how. I have tried experementing but cant find a thing. I have been told to open jk2mpconfig.cfg but winzip cant open that. Help is appreciated.
Bilbo Skywalker
you can open your jk2 config with notepad now choose some spare keys, for example ill use j k and l type these in there: bind j say_team team message: incoming enemy > left route bind k say_team team message: incoming enemy > right route bind l say_team team meassage: we need more defense or any messages that takes your fancy. .Templar.
Open your console by pressing shift+~, and type bind x "say_team They are coming!", in place of x put whatever letter/key you want, and whatever you do, when you put in "say_team They are coming!" do NOT put a / before say_team, because the bind wont work. Kurgan
Ditto what those guys said. I am pretty stingy with my keyboard real-estate, so I tend to bind my chat strings to the function keys at the top of the keyboard. You can put those chat strings into a cfg file as well (for example autoexec.cfg) that way you won't need to keep typing them in every time.
