Modeling: mesh very messed up in-game

Just on the off chance anyone knows what this is caused by....Here's what my model looks like in 3DS Max:

I had no trouble exporting/compiling, the mesh weighting seems all fine, my exported root.xsi model looks good when I import him into Max. I'm stumped.
