For those of you getting MAJOR ERRORS on/in your maps----> I suggest lots of experimentation before you actually build your final map. What I do is have some small SIMPLE maps that I use to experiment on with diffferent applications and such.

 

Let's say I want to fool around with target_speakers. I use my SOUND map and make sure the speaker works the way I want first. Then I copy it exactly when I start up the map I want it in.

 

My first map was a complete bomb because many errors were compiled into the final result. So I can't stress enough-->

 

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR MAP REGARDING COMPILES!!

 

FRAGGLEROCK map is now being fixed by someone else. I'm starting a new map with all custom scripts and textures.

i agree lauser,

i've done the same thing as well, and it is EXTREMEly helpful to make a small test map to work out any complicated procedures before putting it into you final map and messin it up. Even if you think you're sure, experiment with it. Hope that tidbit helps, glad to see im not the only crazy one out there :p
