Heavyarms
I think that during this game, you should be able to jump in to a vehicle and control, while still being able to control the entire scenario. It would be good for mission critical craft, as you could control them. But you can also zoom out of the vehicle, and be able to move stuff apropriately. While inside a vehicle's cockpit, you can only select units to move that you can visually lock on, except with a mini map. You could control where the vehicle goes, and fire its weapon. This would be hard to implement with air vehicles, so it would need to be a 3-d game in order to implement. Would be a cool idea, though.
Sithmaster_821
What would be the point? I'd much rather see the entire board than be stuck inside a vehicle.
Heavyarms
1. It allows you to see the fighting from another aspect. 2. You can control the vehicle, allowing you to perform actions the AI might not be able to do( like maybe allowing you to control something that is vital for you to achieve an objective( like a at-at that carries a important diplomat or a airspeeder that has come under fire, and you rely on your piloting instead of the AI to drive the vehicle. 3. You can also get to see things that you might not, like off in the distance, instead of just straight down.
pbguy1211
that would require the game to be 3d first of all... second, i think it'd be a waste of memory for it third, no unit would last long enough to warrant the time and effort into making the camera view. lukeiamyourdad
It's pointless really. Everyone would rather have an overall view which is much more useful. And a regular zoom would work just fine.
