The Infernal Machine demo

I downloaded the Infernal Machine demo but am not getting anywhere with it. I don't know much at all about games, but it seems like I should be able to get past that first screen. Does anyone know if it's possible to get past the first screen in a demo?

I know what you mean...I wonder how many people didn't buy the game because they never figured out the demo. There should have been a walk-through to go with the demo.

The main thing to know is you have to push and pull those square blocks around so you can climb up onto them and then onto something else. (walk up to the block, hold down the Ctrl key and use the arrow keys to push or pull). In that first screen, you will also be using your whip to swing across to the other ledge. Good luck. The demo is quite large. It's a good game once you figure out the basics.
