Shambala Flower( How do you get into the room with the metal thing and sunlight?)

I can't seem to get the door open, and nor can I go through the window.

You have to use your whip to swing across to the platform. Jump back up onto the beam. Go to the center of it and ready your whip. You'll see Indy raise the whip. Swing across and the metal window should open.
