I don't know where to go, and the closest I've come to seeing action has been chasing the leopard away with a pistol and killing infinitely respawning carnivorous fish with a machete in the still pool.

But what sucks is you cannot continue to level 8 until you whip your way through this. Also, I was unable to reload various level 7 saves, which was the map I finished prior to my South American detour.
