hammer?

i found a hammer in the ship what happens when you hammer the proppler blade ,i beleive you have to hit the proppelor,well i think thats what i heard

You need to find the hatch that has a lock on it while swimming around in the ship. (If you haven't already) If you have, yes you use the hammer on the propeler of the Japanese Zero at the bottom of the lake.
