Win 2000 Directx 6 request

Hi,

 

Running windows 2000 and DX9a is there a fix to stop RS wanting to install DX6 ??

 

Just search the forum and can't see any obvious fixes.

I had the same problem with Monkey Island. Just let it install, it won't really install DX6 it will jsut satisfy it enough to let you play the game. Or so that's how it was for Monkey Island and DX5.

 

Though I can't play Heavy Gear 2 because it wants me to install DX6 let it, still nothing. Good thing I'm getting Windows XP, and Windows 98SE on another partition for old games in about a week.
