Wallace
Can anybody explain me how to export textures out of JK2Radiant? I can't find any way of doing this. Help would be greatly appreciated
Bell
when jkradiant starts it scans your base folder for all the textures it can find. So just look in the assets.pk3 files. In radiant, click on a texture and at the bottom it gives you the path and name of that texture, extract it from the assets#.pk3.
Wallace
OK, now I just need to know how to extract. So how do I do that? Thxz for the help so far, I'll search for a tut if nobody answers. [edit] Ok, I found out that I could use winzip. But I can't find/see all the textures. Do they use other files than .tga? [/edit]
Bell
ya there is more than one assests file. Also, many of the textures are custom textures added by the mappers to their own maps. So when you click on a texture in radiant, look at the path name, and try to guess which map its in, and use winzip to open the corresponding "map".pk3 file in your base folder. If you use someone elses custom texture you'll need to get permission from them.
Wallace
Actually, I'm talking about the textures that are standard in Jedi Knight 2. I can't find those. I've looked in all the assets files and in mapextras.pk3 but I couldn't find them.
