Can u just go out and get the stuff you need and then put it together to make some object? BTW, in the beginning (when your skills are low), what can you craft? Thanks. Mujahid Posted June 30, 2003 Share Posted June 30, 2003 In the beginning, you can go out and get the items you need for crafting. You'll need to do some "surveying", using a surveying tool. This tool will lead you to "pockets" of various minerals that you will need for your crafting. After you collect enough resources, you open up your crafting kit and select a recipe. This opens a "template". You take your resources and place them into the template resource "slots", and begin crafting. The list of recipes is quite large, even for a beginner. [Edit: Eventually, the recipes you'll want to make will require VAST amounts of resources. These will be nearly impossible to simply survey on your own.
