How do you use the raft in Peru?

I realize it may sound bad, but I've been trying to use the raft for hours now. If you jump in the water, it doesn't work, and it doesn't seem to work on the edge of the water too. Suggestions please.

i got stuck hear as well

you need to stand as close to the water as possible then use the raft

trail and error iam afraid bad programming
