fvcoolkid
Ok so i have SWG and love it but im rather confused because I figured it would perform better on my platform because its new. My fps go from 15-1 almost anywhere i go causing a great deal of skipping. In town its the worst. In an open area of nothing i can get 29 fps. If there is anything i can do that will for sure or most likley change that and make it so it runs smooth anywhere please let me know here r my specs. Mujahid
If you're running Windows XP (pro or home), you'll need a bit more memory. XP is a real memory hog, consuming as much as 256Mb for itself. Other than that, one thing to keep in mind is the built-in "scalability" of the SWG graphics engine. The game was specifically designed to not really be playable by most people right now with detail settings on maximum. This is so that in a year or two from now, when hardware configurations improve dramatically, they will still have a viable graphics engine.
