Level 7-Bridge to lake

Am trying to get across the broken bridge that leads to a lake. Have just about given up trying to run/jump it. I don't seem to be getting close.

 

Is ther another way, a different position or a different maneuver?

forget that. its a red herring. focus on all the caves, and the bridge in front of the locked gate.

i forgot what to do there but i think u cut the bridge down using ur machete, and trustme ull know what to do from there, i promise
