I mean yeah it's protecting from some damage but it also sucks the life out of you when you're making special attacks. Plus it gets damaged real quick, shield generators last me a half a day of playing. Are you only supposed to pack on the armor when you know you're going to be going into a big battle? Help me out here because this whole armor thing is getting expensive and it's really hard to repair without busting it.
Ajo79 Posted July 13, 2003 Posted July 13, 2003 A far as I know armor protects against laser damage. Against melee damage the armors are no good. So use armors if up against laser weapon wielding monsters and go without armor vs melee creatuers.

Psycho Posted July 13, 2003 Posted July 13, 2003 I think that armor also has the negative effect of reducing the ability of your character from regenerating one of the HAM pools depending on where the armor is placed. For example, a helmet affect the mind regenerating stat, willpower. I am assuming greaves/boots type armor affect stamina and cuirass/breastplate armor affect constitution. I cannot guarantee that this is the case, but I read that helmets are not for medics because they affect willpower. This information was gathering from a Combat Medic Strategy Guide I found.
Sunshine Badass Posted July 13, 2003 Posted July 13, 2003 JUST the Chestpiece I am wearing at the moment protects me 20% from melee attacks and 8% from blast attacks, which then translates for me a reduction of around 250 damage on average from what I fight. I highly suggest investing in MK VI Ubese Armor! :D
