AGP Texture Acceleration...

Recommended Posts

I had this problem with my 9500PRO as did ALOT of others. The way I and many others from a forum at http://www.rage3d.com fixed this, was by flashing the bios on our motherboard. This worked with many differant MB, Video card combos. If you include system specs I will try to help more.

My system:

Asus A7N8X non-deluxe w/ n-Force2

"Made by" ATI Radeon 9500PRO

the option being grayed out, can be caused by many issues. Flashing the bios is a fairly extreme option because of the risks.

What graphics card do you have?

What version of directx, do you have?

If you have an AGP accelerated graphics card it may be caused by a problem with your directx install. Reinstalling the newest version of directx along with the most recent graphics card driver will help.

This has happened to me at as least twice. Once it was a complete fluke and a reboot fixed it. Another thing it was a problem with an install of directx 9.0.
