Exar_reborn
I was extremely upset to find out that you have to have critter handling in order to command a pet. I think that if you become a master CH and you tame an animal you should be able to give the pet away and have it totally obey its new master. Just like with someone training Seeing eye dogs ya know? The last command you learn as a CH is transfer so it should make sense to be able to transfer it with all its commands. But it would only be with this pet. the reciever would not be able to have the ability tame another pet. The commands stay with the pet you were givin. Just like commands with droids. This would help CH out A LOT with money. B/c pets would be in high demand now that anyone can use one. And how is this all going to work out with Mounts if non CH can't command them? I think there is an issue here and it needs to be worked out.
Ryre Solos
Definitely not! Talk about making Creature handling a compleatly usless skill. We are vendors to our own, sure. But not to others. Thats why there are probots. And the like. Eventually there will be rideable animals. I assume everyone should be able to use these. If not, then I'm not too sure. But as a side step. There are also vehicles. So, either way Think of it as each to their own. Mind you, CH is a bit more independent then alot of professions, all they need is food for their animals. And even then, they can get that timeselves from havesting... CH is a hybrid class I think. So it has alot of strengths but just as many weaknesses. For every class to be able to use the animals in which we tame, would simple be stupid. There is a reason we train in CH, to be able to use the animals and not guns, bounty hunter droids, etc. Basically it's like saying by selling someone a crafting station, they should have all the skills needed to craft. Azuule
I am working toward CH my self, and have mixed feelings on the subject. I like the idea of CH's have cetain things that are not available to other classes. But not being able to transfer pets is like droid engineers not being able to sell bots. I lean towards saying that CH's should have the availability to sell/transfer pets, but with strict limits on creature level and skills. To that end only CH's, and high level ones at that, could ever have anything like a rancor, but if the average Joe wanted a pet cat or spider why can't they have one. The lower level pets will not be that big of an asset to throw out of balance the classes, well i don't think so anyway, and I know a lot of peeps who would love a pet, even low level, as a novalty or even just a travel buddy. Just my two cents, we will have to see what the Dev's think. Az
sexxxy_mark
heh. exactly. what would be the point of the CH profession. a better idea for everyone being able to have a pet is to limit its functionality. a non ch pet owner would only beable to have one pet out at a time, would not beable to make it attack/etc. tricks would be cool...but only for a visible effect. basically just for show and aesthetics. the real power would be in the CH, where they could completely command it. i know ALOT of ppl would buy pets just for show like that (yes they think they would be cute)
Just Darth
Wouldn't you get group XP if you had even a tiny critter grouped with you?
