DarkLordEclipse
Have you installed all the patches and the Gaming Client. Do you have a good Graphics card? And a good video card? Cause you really need those, things.
fltaylor
Don't worry, it's not your computer at all... the FPS is capped at 30, I'm usually running at around 11 - 16, rarely higher than 20, and I get hit with a 1 fps running out of towns
EsahC
Why is the FPS capped at 30? :-(
Didjer
i usually run around 29-30 fps with an ATI radeon 9800 pro 128 mb DDR card and a p4 3.0G with 512M ram... from all i've read about the geforce FX line of cards.. they bite when compared to the ATI equivalent and ATI cards are designed to interact optimally with intel chips.. if i had to make a suggestion... return the geforce and get the ATI equivalent.. you'll probably see a bit better performance. HawkEyes
Not to go in on that whole ATI/NVIDIA war but i do not agree on Nvidia cards not working properly withing SWG. I have a FX5900 128MB and i also run at 26 to 29 fps a sec with all and everything enabled. I do think its a combo off all sort of things. Perhaps that the FX series of cards do not operate at full speed on anything lower than a true 8x AGP board and a CPU of at least 2.4Ghz. Think of this if i had a 1.5 and a TI4200 128 mb i would not get a super boost in performance by replacing it for an FX5900 and sure my FPS would go up by maybe 4 - 6. If i keep my TI4200 and start using a 3.0 Ghz HT processor i should see an large increase in performance. Throw in a FX5900 or a Radeon 9800 and your absolutely set. just my 2 cents
Terrick
Why is the FPS capped at 30? :-( Most video you see (TV, movies, etc.) are only 30 fps. The human eye can't percive frame rates much faster than 30 fps anyways.
