  1. Thanks guys. Not my girlfriend, but a good friend of mine nonetheless. She's asking to take it back so she can put more work into it. She really wasn't expecting me to be as stoked with it as I was...but I suppose I'm not going to go "You got the technique wrong, and WHAT is with this stitching?! . . . bah, some present." I think I'm going to post some more pictures of the new improved Manny doll...Maybe even email it to Tim Schafer himself. Feeling so proud.
  2. A dolly! My friend made this for me and gave it to me last night. One of his legs is fatter than the other. Since Manny doesn't have any fat we decided it's probably just the way his trousers hang. She asked me to explain this if I posted it. Not the best pic of the doll. I'll take some more snaps which show more detail.
  3. Hey, I'm in Perth/Fremantle. If you're passing through there hit me up.
  4. Ask the Dust by John Fante. He's Bukowski's biggest influence. Not much happens in it and it's a very easy read, but I loved every word of it.
  5. I've heard that the LucasArts vault is strictly off limits. It will only be accessible after the nuclear holocaust when the world starts to run out of entertainment.
  6. Check out Phil Spector without a wig...
  7. Have you seen the film you're talking about? Or do you just wanna hate.
  8. I'm not sure if it's rotoscoped or not, I just know that it looks like it's going to be a very aesthetically pleasing film. I'm interested in it for the subject matter more than anything else. I want to pursue a career in journalism and modern warfare is one of my main interests. Modern warfare represented on a humanistic level especially. As for A Scanner Darkly. I thought it was a great film, I'm a big fan of Richard Linklater and Philip K. Dick and I found it very enjoyable. Sure beats the hell out of anything else adapted from one of Dick's books (except for Blade Runner.)
  9. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=ylzO9vbEpPg Okay, let me be the first to say. This film looks like it's going to be unbe-****ing-leivable.
  10. Hmmm, here's a few metal bands I'm well keen on: - ISIS They can be a little challenging at the first, but the more you listen the more you hear the all out awesomeness of this band. I could just dive into some of those riffs and live there for eternity. And they made a concept album about Foucault's Panopticon which was pretty damn cool, if not a a little wanky. - Meshuggah Very hard hitting, glitchy metal band. Gotta love those polyrythms. These guys have one of the best drummers in Metal. - Pelican Similar to ISIS, but without the vocals. This band can hammer
  11. Oh hey...that was posted over a year ago. I guess the forum isn't as bustling with activity as it used to be.
  12. This is a film that I co-wrote and appear in briefly. My friends and I put the thing together. It's long but be patient with it and your guaranteed to get some good giggles out of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2KfJPpsEG0
  13. An art exhibition consisting entirely of modified Darth Vader helmets... http://fun.blogonline.ru/283908.html
  14. If you liked Anansi Boys that much you should definitely check out American Gods. It's a great novel, one I could really sink my teeth into... I recently finished Earth Abides by George R. Stewart and that blew me away.
  15. Hip Hop is actually good... Black Sweatshirt Tonight I'm in the mood for some unscheduled affection Spontaneous combustion...Playing with my fire inside Burning my inner child blackened his skin to the tint of his sweatshirt "Hey...when you play with the big boys, you get hurt!" I used to suck my thumb while rubbing silk blankets across my cheek Until my mom denied me access. I bawled for weeks We don't speak to this day. I came to terms with my fear and loathing Now I wear this clothing...like it's an extra layer of old skin Afraid to shed...tears...in the fabric...fro
