WWII was not really England's battle, so I recall. I haven't thought about it since 3 years ago, in History, but they came in pretty late. Perhaps our text books big us up, so we get a biased report of the events, but then again, I guess every country does.

England used to conquer many places, long ago, but now it's all guns. I hear that the US army is really, really poor, in the sense that they've accidentally killed their own troops, like in jets and so on - or so news reports have said.

We might have been invaded, but we recovered, sure enough. Our language has travelled the world, and we still have our own money (£)... not that I agree invading another country for the sheer thrill of it, is respectable. Just the fact a tiny country was able to do it lol
