Very similar problems that I have.

I understand the traits of being charismatic and a leader, but don't exercise them properly because I have social flaws. I think I understand people, but often see much more to the person than there actually is. As a result, I think higher of people than there really is and let them take over my better judgment. I would say I'm a very kind person, but very confrontational towards those who don't respect me as I should. I do think logically, but also try to take human aspects of a situation into account and make simplistic ideas and 'muddy the water' because the others don't understand what I say.

These are some of the major flaws I see within myself and try to correct in order to overcome the leadership flaws I know I have. The first step to knowledge is knowing your ignorance. Of course, these are flaws...
