  1. One of the funniest lines that springs to my mind:
  2. FYI, The floor of the pit area is reflective... http://wso.williams.edu/~rfoxwell/starwars/TPM/pics/Kenobi2.jpg http://wso.williams.edu/~rfoxwell/starwars/TPM/pics/KenobiMaul.jpg http://wso.williams.edu/~rfoxwell/starwars/TPM/pics/MaulSparks.gif http://wso.williams.edu/~rfoxwell/starwars/TPM/pics/Maul10.jpg
  3. TARKIN: There. You see Lord Vader, she can be reasonable. (addressing Motti) Continue with the operation. You may fire when ready. LEIA: What? TARKIN: You're far too trusting. Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration. But don't worry. We will deal with your Rebel friends soon enough.
  4. FYI You can see all of the Tone Poems for The Phantom Menace, here: http://www.starwars.com/episode-i/video/tonepoem/tonepoem1.html I agree, Maul's "One Truth" is by far the best.
  5. Its a fair comment that the overall community is fragmented between quite a few games. According to Gamespy, the big-hitters right this moment are: Half-Life: (19997 servers, 52068 players) Medal of Honor Allied Assault: (707 servers, 4451 players) Return to Castle Wolfenstein: (1121 servers, 4015 players) Quake 3: Arena: (2877 servers, 3836 players) Unreal Tournament: (3374 servers, 3560 players) Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast: (602 servers, 2378 players) Tribes 2: (606 servers, 2352 players) (Note: I have all of them...) On the other hand if this is such a bad thing, what can be done to change the situation? Shall we ask all the different developers to stop developing new titles? Maybe tell them they should all work on one title together? All unify behind just one popular title to bring the community "together"? I don't think thats going to work...
  6. lol "This is not the Emperor/Monkey you are looking for";)
  7. Splinter Of The Minds Eye. The first EU novel.
  8. FYI - In multiplayer, set color1 # (where # = 1 to 6) will change your lightsaber colour.
  9. It was pretty obvious that Teg meant new 'models' when he included Vader, Fett and Wedge! Either way, they'd need to be official so that the 'pure' servers allowed you to use them. Here's hoping... FatboyTim.
  10. If you type a ^ (SHIFT+6) plus a number (from 1-7) immediately afterwards, it changes the colour of the text: 1 = Red 2 = Green 3 = Yellow 4 = Blue 5 = Cyan 6 = Magenta 7 = White (You should also add a 'white' tag to the end of your name, so everything else stays white.)
  11. Sithdrone, the problem is your anecdotal evidence that "98% of people constantly threw their sabers" simply doesn't ring true for the majority of us who are reading your thread! The whole tone and nature of that opening remark is basically trolling at best... I am curious though as to the criteria you supposedly used to differentiate between someone who "constantly threw" their saber, someone who "occasionally threw" one and someone who threw it maybe just once? To me "constantly throwing" really means using saber-throw to the exclusion of all other force powers... The chances that 100 seperate players all used just this one tactic are somewhat astronomical. Secondly if you "constantly throw" your saber, you would quickly run out of force-power and be quite vulnerable to ranged attacks (darkside) or force-protected (lightside) melee. Thirdly if you are strange enough to actually count "98 people in 100 duels over 72 hours", you are unlikely to want to debate your "findings" here. These "facts" are now gospell to you and no matter what is said, you not going to be persuaded. Basically, the only way that I can really see your remarks being remotely true is if you either set up the test unfairly (eg. server name = Thrown saber duelling only!" etc.) or your own tactics were to blame. What I mean by this is that if you insisted on force-jumping to a particularly obscure ledge, then maybe, (just maybe) those people were set up into throwing their sabers just to reach you etc. From what I can see, not many people here can even see your problem with the balance. I suggest you find a way to deal with it yourself. Otherwise... [mind trick] This is not the game you're looking for... [/mind trick] j/k!
  12. "Charming to the last. You don't know how hard I found it signing the order to terminate your life!"
