It's the same kind of deal as Star Wars fanfilms. The people who make them don't get sued for copying Lucas or borrowing that actor who said the line "TK421, why aren't you at your post?" or using William's music in public because noone's making any money out of it. You know, I bet the world would be a better place if we applied the same philosophy to everything in life, heh.

I have the technical expertise of a 21st-century ape - I can do a little html, mostly by accident - so I can't be much actual help. But I will definitely keep an eye on how this goes. I'm pretty damn surprised that LA and SOE aren't getting in a huff about it... in fact, I'm inclined to disbelieve it entirely. They have only themselves to blame.

Nah, that's just the result of DMUK's sparkling personality. But yeah, I think the only reason SWG is still going right now is because of people who have decided to give it a try without ever knowing what things were like pre-CU or NGE.

Perhaps a more appropriate question would be "why would you want it to run on your computer in the first place?" But I am probably being too negative and sarcastic. That's what SWG Stratics thought, which is why I no longer write for them...

Yes, that's the model of the Falcon. It can be made by traders with the appropriate skill tree, like most ships. Unless they changed it.

That one sounds like the 'Necrosis goes for a walk' scenario. HS02 was going to be one of those in a player city; but I was late, died as soon as I arrived, and lost interest because there was no in-character explanation for it.

They were all starsider, and took place... hm... you know, it's all bleeding together. Some before the CU, some after, I think. Prophets of the Dark side was about one of those spontanious events that the Powers That Be would occasionally trigger. People on either side of the civil war would get a message to get to a certain place, they'd go, stuff would happen. Not sure how often that particular scenario happened. For all I know it was the only thing they ever did. Does that kind of thing still happen at all?
