  1. Thankyou I used Fraps to capture the EAW footage, SnagIt for Jedi Academy.
  2. Yeah, it's made to look like a trailer but there's no full movie, which is why all the best bits are in there, such as Jar Jar finally getting what he deserves. I'm glad you liked it
  3. I've put together a short video, using footage from Forces of Corruption and Jedi Academy to show what happens when Emperor Palpatine decides to put and end to the Gungan menace and more specifically: Jar Jar Binks. The video (The Death of Jar Jar) has been accepted into the 2007 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge, the annual fanfilm contest by Atomfilms and Lucasfilms. To have a look, click here. If you feel my video deserves a win, please show your support by voting for it on that page. I appreciate it, thankyou. For the full list on entries, click here.

  5. ...three way multiplayer campaigns?
  6. I wish I could say that about the machinima Star Wars fanfilms I've produced (oh and I'm planning to use EaW as part of my next one...I might have to wait until this expansion though, I'll need a SSD after all ). There's so much Star Wars material, from the movies, books, comics and other games...it's not possible to include everything from all of them. I get that and while I would like to see Thrawn appear in the expansion at some point, I'm not going to be too upset if he doesn't. I also know that if you only use existing material then the fans who are familiar with it will find the game predictable and for the fans that aren't familiar with the EU material, it doesn't make any difference.
  7. The expansion has to be V-VI. Why? Because the game is set in the time of the OT, so that is the natural progression of the story and makes sense to continue that way. I don't expect it to happen but I'd also like to see something done with the Thrawn Trilogy. There are plenty of battles, tactics and strategy involved in those books, which provides plenty of material to use for a game like EAW. Though I'm really glad I'm not the one who has to code the AI to act like Grand Admiral Thrawn.
  8. I wouldn't call it epic but it was intense. I was playing as the Empire, the Rebels attacked Geonosis. The only defence I had was the tech 1 station and the two squadrons of TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers that go along with that (although the respawn after awhile if they die). The Rebels had six Corellian Corvettes, three squadrons of X-Wings and three squadrons of Y-Wings, so I was out numbered and out gunned. I was able to use the TIE Bombers to take out the Corvettes one at a time, while the TIE Fighters kept luring the other ships away from the station for about 20 minutes or so. Eventually I won but the station was about to be destroyed, if anyone sneezed inside, it would have come apart Anyway, it's one of the fondest memories I have from playing so far.
  9. There have been a number of requests for more Gungan deaths in the Fall of Naboo trailer, so I went ahead and slaughtered more Gungans for people to enjoy and updated the trailer accordingly. The above links contain the "enhanced" trailer and a quick reminder of them here too: Mpeg4 and Quicktime.
  10. I'm really glad to see you're all enjoying the trailer. For those of you having problems getting it to play properly, I have uploaded a quicktime version, which can be found here.
  11. Right click > Save As If that doesnt' work: Direct Link I'd prefer people use the first method though as it's nice to see how many times the file has been downloaded
  12. I think this is the correct forum, I don't think it counts as a mod, otherwise I would have put it in there. Anyway I don't like Gungans (who does?) and here is the proof, it's a little machinima video I put together using footage captured from Empire at War. The goal was to make a trailer for a film that I don't actually plan to produce, it's just a test for fun. (Ok...I'll admit there are a few seconds from Jedi Academy...but the rest is all EAW) Enjoy! The Fall of Naboo
  13. I just watched the new trailer for BFME2 and I saw they have added a Create a Hero screen, where players can customize not just the appearance but the abilities of their own hero character. I kinda like the idea, it would make battles a bit more personal, especially in multiplayer. So how would you guys feel if EAW had something similiar, so you could create your own Admiral/Jedi/Whatever to take into battle?
  14. There are the actors that play the characters in the movies and then there are voice actors that play the characters in the games, radio plays etc. Example, Nick Jameson always does the Palpatine's voice (and he is really good at it too). There have been a few instances of the original actors doing voiceovers in games but its rare. Off the top of my head, I can think of: Lando in Jedi Outcast Wedge in Rogue Squadron 2 Jango in Bounty Hunter, he also seems to enjoy doing clone trooper voices in other games.
  15. I think Leia won't be a combat unit, but she will be playable. Her skills would either be used to get native lifeforms to join the rebels or at least make it easier for that to happen. Or maybe she can encourage Imperial units to change sides.
  16. Lucasarts have a history of patching a game once and if its still broken, abandoning it. So don't count on patches to add new content.
  17. I'm disapointed that the technology in the game doesnt go as far as ROTJ. Now what doesn't seem to be clear, does the game still let you conquer/liberate the galaxy, or does it end with the destruction of the deathstar/rebel base? I feel like they will soon be saying the open ended structure of the game was dropped and we have to play preset missions in the order they come in I really hope the expansion covers ESB and ROTJ, rather than having seperate expansions for each movie. I would hope they draw from the Thrawn Trilogy too.
  18. Actually, the Xbox version of Kotor2 came out in the US 2 months (just before Christmas) before it was released here in the UK (February I believe). I wouldn't mind a week difference on the release date but a month is a bit much. While I wont get an illegal copy myself, a month or more wait can only encourage piracy
  19. They stay together because what is the point of sending a fleet to a planet (especially if you're planning to launch an assault) and the ships arrive at different times? As FroZticles said, the faster ships just set a lower speed to travel through hyperspace so that they arrive at the same time as the rest of the fleet.
  20. My understanding of hyperspace in Star Wars is that each ship is alone in hyperspace, even if its part of a fleet, it has no way of interacting with the other ships until it returns to normal space.
  21. I personally think they should stick to existing ship designs, just look at Rebellion and X-Wing Alliance, they both have a large number of different ships. Also, the Starfighter Carrier appeared in the Droids cartoon too.
