After years and years of being presented with overwhelming amounts of evidence (that should have been plain-as-day to see), I've only recently learned that there are some people that just can't be reasoned with.

I wouldn't take her for the final mission, but after crunching the numbers, she's definitely coming with me any time I have to fight a lot of Cerberus baddies. It isn't difficult to get her tech power damage up around 250%.

Same thing with Garrus. 250-275% damage with assault rifles or 300%+ with sniper rifles. 1200 dps with the Phaeston or 2150 with a Mantis. He's comin' with me for all the Brute fights.

I'll be going back at some point. Dunno when, but I will.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to get nearly as much longevity out of Skyrim as I thought. Then again, some of that might be dependent upon timing and quality of DLC. I'm really hoping that they bundle horse armor with something else as a joke (M'aiq made a comment about mudcrabs the other night and I just about died).

I'm completely confused as to what I'm playing right now. I'm in Chapter II of The Witcher, 3/4 of the way through Act I in NWN2, level 12 of a new character in FO:NV, and I reinstalled Morrowind this weekend. Need to focus!

TWII comes out in 8 days, as does the new FO:NV DLC.

I'm doing a Soldier run on Hardcore to segue into Arrival.

Might be taking a break from ME2 after that, as I think I may have been bitten by the NWN2 bug the other day.

I'm doing my cowboy run right now (w/ Raul as a companion). Fully modded cowboy repeater with hand-loaded .357 ammo and the Cowboy perk is devastating. Unfortunately, I gave Raul a .44 magnum to replace his default one so that he can use the SWC ammo and now he kills most everything before I have a chance to.

Have yet to recruit Veronica or Lily with any of my characters, though I think my next run will remedy that. Bought the Dead Money DLC last weekend, but haven't installed it yet.

I'm excited about that too.

I'm finding that Lucas is slightly more useful now that I have his regen focus ability and a quasi-ranged ability (the 2nd tier, two-hand ability). Still have to be very aggressive though.

Son got back from WA on Tuesday. We've been playing co-op. First time though the Causeway was fun (he was impressed).

I'm getting ready for the raid on Solitude. Skyrim will be liberated before I go to bed tonight.

That bit in the release notes about fixing "rare" issue where dragons aren't hostile is malarkey. This is the 2nd dragon this playthrough (<25 hours) that just flies around without attacking. I'm almost wondering if they are scripted to be "reminders" about the main quest, but still.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to get it running.

I found a few spot in Skyrim where the framerate got absolutely destroyed, so I throttled the settings back to "High". Apparently, not running the game on Ultra introduces issues with the shadows and now there's lot of flickering.

EDIT: DLing updated drivers. Not sure if it will help, but I should've tried it first anyway.

EDIT AGAIN: Yep. New drivers resolved the tearing and restoring the settings took care of the flickering. Now I just have to hope that framerate doesn't die in forests

I'm going to have to build a new rig before I start playing PC games again.

How sad that we spend more time modding games so that we can play them to our preferences, than we do actually playing?

I'm going to resist the urge to blather on about what colossal douche bags BethSoft are and talk about ME3 instead.

So...there are CE bonus items and GameStop pre-order bonus items. If I pre-order the CE from GameStop do I get both? For some reason, this feels like the most important question I'll ask today.

I'm taking a break from Skyrim. Possibly a "until sometime this Summer, after the CK is out and the community has released a few unofficial patches" break. Finding more and more bugged quests and I'm getting increasingly frustrated each time I do.

Picked up the DLC for DS3 when it came out but haven't played it yet. Think I'll do that for a while, then ME/ME2 playthroughs beginning in mid-Feb.

I'm taking the day off tomorrow.

Once I get Arrival out of the way though, I'm switching to NWN2/MotB

I'm trying to wrap up as many of the achievements as I can before I get distracted with Skyrim. I have 3 left for LR, 1 for OWB, and 1 for GRA that's going to have to wait for another Caesar's Legion run.

So far a roleplay goes, I think this character is probably the best I've done. Former NCR citizen that bumped East to the Mojave as a caravan guard, then left that to become a courier because the money wasn't worth the risks. I'm able to make most of the skill checks, etc and at no point have I felt like I had to break character do it.

I've actually had an ME2 itch growing. Trying to hold off for another month or so, as I plan on a ME/ME2 run prior to ME3 being released.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Bethesda. If you're not going to test your game, at least release your CK so that the community can get to work on unofficial patches (the trademark of the ES franchise). I find it incredibly hard to believe that an actual human being played this game before release.

I've always hated vampires

*sigh* was on my way to kill a dragon when my merry band got attacked by a different dragon. Used Storm Call and began showering it with arrow when the game crashed

Right now I have 4 dragon souls burning a hole in my inventory. Need to find more dragon walls.

I've been "between games" for more than a month now. At this point I'm seriously re-evaluating the role that vidya has in my life. After the demo, I'm not that excited about ME3. I had to ask myself how excited could I really be about Max Payne 3 considering that I played 1 twice and never finished 2. And I still have a really bad taste in my mouth over Skyrim. 89 days to get the CK out. In December, they promised patches on a more frequent basis, yet it took them 6 weeks to release 1.4 and there has been no word about 1.5 since that happened (> 2 weeks ago).

I guess we'll see what happens in a few weeks when ME3 comes out.

I've killed my old rig.

I guess almost 5 years is a good run. I liked the Shuttle experience, but I'm not sure I want to do it again. Parts for the new beast are on the way.
