The Count Posted September 7, 2003 Share Posted September 7, 2003 To those with 56K Modems and are frustrated with downloading the demo; I propose you get Download Accelerator (http://www.downloadaccelerator.com/DAPDL.asp?) and search for the Jedi Academy demo that has the pause feature supported; then all you guys and gals can eventually get the demo and can download it when you come online. te27ch Posted September 7, 2003 Share Posted September 7, 2003 I've seen that millions of people use Download Accelerator, but I prefer to use a program called Star Downloader. It's COMPLETELY free. No banner ads, spyware, etc. Plus, it gets the job done, and has a lot of features. Try it out at http://www.stardownloader.com I have a 56k, but its so tremendously slow (I usually connect at 24000 bps OR LESS) that 186mb is just too darn big. Luckily, my school has a T1, and there are plenty of comps with CD burners!!! So, for all of you that have 56ks, be patient with your download, and remember: only 'til the 16th!!!
