This is ridiculous. My setup is fine and shared by a large portion of the gaming community. Upon playing after the initial install everything runs fine for as long as I want. Only after playing the first time (i.e. rebooting or reloading the .exe file) does the game lock-up and I get the XP message. It only does it during saber combat or when igniting one. It doesn't make any sense, nothing has changed the game has just decided to **** up. I had the same damn problem with NWN (along with ALOT of people) that never was fixed, the game screwing up later on with zero change to the system running it. Anyway, any ideas are welcomed.

Well, I see a couple areas that could be of concern..

A) Windows XP Service Pack 1 /// has been known to cause problems with Jedi Knight games, especially Outcast and now Academy demo

B) Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer /// EAX when enabled can ALSO cause crashing due to certain driver conflictions

C)Try going into the setup/control options and then click mouse and turn off Force Feedback.

And you already said you had the latest drivers, I am guessing for your Nvidia card and such.

Try those and also try turning down the anistropic filter to 50% and turn off dynamic glow and dynamic lights and see if that doesn't help make a difference
