SeventhwinD
Whenever I start the demo, push play, it loads up, screen goes black, and crashes back to my desktop. My computer spec is as followed: Amd 2200 Triplex Xabre Pro 128mb 648mb ram Soundblaster Live! Please help? I am looking forward to the release, but not if it's going to do this on the official release.
Great Jedi Knight
hmm, when you start up demo launch menu will appear, then click on "help" then click on "analyze your computer" and see if it met your systerm requirement. and what video card you had? SeventhwinD
I did that already, it passed everything..(http://seventhwind.i-designs.org/images/systempass.jpg) video card is Triplex Xabre Pro 128mb I've also downloaded and installed the demo from about 7 other sites, so it's not where I am downloading it from. Also, the way it loads, looks like its using the quake 3 engine I'd guess? Quake 3 runs perfect and fine on my computer so I don't know the problem. DigitalVapor
I had this problem the first time I tried the Q3A demo. Yeah its the Q3A engine but its heavily, HEAVILY HEAVILY modified and enhanced. Anyway, to solve that problem when I had the q3a demo, I learned that I needed to update my graphics card's drivers. Try updating the drivers for your card. That SHOULD fix the problem
SeventhwinD
There's one problem, and I am still stabbing myself in the leg for buying the stupid video card. The company has only had 1 update on the driver I beleive? I bought it at the time cause it was $100 when everything else was $300+ for 128mbs Sigh I'll search again for the update but it's hard enough finding it . Hopefully I'll be getting ym geforce 4 5900 ultra soon. Edit: Last update on the driver was 3/11/2003 so, I already had this one in my comp so doubt it will help to reinstall, but trying anyways. Andy867
Try these drivers and see if they dont make a difference http://driver2.sis.com/graphic/gpu/xabre/xabre31153.exe
SeventhwinD
Nope, think thats the same driver I had before. Didn't change anything, same q3a loader, to black screen, to crash back to desktop . I Just hope the full version won't do this. Going to try the certified driver, let's see if that does much. aunomonopia
I am having the same problem. I go to load the demo after picking my character and light saber... and get kicked back to the desktop. My specs are amd 2500+ Abit NF7-S Motherboard and Radeon 9800 pro. I have tried the latest Catalyst 3.7 drivers I have updated direct x to 9.0b. I have also tried Catalyst 3.6 drivers. same thing. I tried uninstalling the demo then re-installing same thing. I have JKII:Jedi Outcast and that works fine. If the demo does not work on my machine I wonder if the full version will do the same thing....
