deth
I have a Pentium 4 2.0ghz ATI Radeon 9800 Pro @8X 768 DDR RAM Audigy ....it seems that when my character either a) comes into contact with lots of players.... b) sees someting detailed (like a river) ...the framerate seems to go WAAYYYY down. I have all the latest drivers..... why???
Rassick
Could be any number of things. Try turning off Dynamic Glow, Anisotropic Filtering and Antialiasing, and then try lowering the resolution and texture detail and see if it still bogs down. Sam Fisher
I have an all-in-wonder Radeon 9700 Pro, and I get over 90fps all the time with the settings maxed out.
jodiuh
...the framerate seems to go WAAYYYY down. Yeah, mine did that too. To double your framerate in SP, make sure dynamic glow is off and shadows are set to simple. In MP you must type r_dynamicglow 0 as it's on by default (what were they thinking?) I think shadows default to simple but cg_shadows 1 will give you the best framerate. Yes, they do look pretty, but I'm a fan of fps over iq. My System AMD 2.3ghz 9800 Pro 512 DDR Audigy Hope this helps!! Jod ;-)
