ILR
Crazy question, I know... but would it be at all possible to play Jedi Outcast SP using the updated JA engine and what-not? I'm the crazy kind of guy who likes to replay his SP games every now and then, and it'd be cool to replay JO with a fresh new game engine. This possible? The_One
Possible, but would take a hell of a lot of time and patience. Not really worth the effort for very little gain.
Ildon
You mean the Quake 3 engine. There isn't a JA engine.
ILR
I mean the enhancements made to the JA SP gameplay... or was I the only one who noticed that? The JA SP gameplay so far surpasses the JO SP gameplay that I would feel cheated if I ever sat down and played JO again. The force powers are useful to me. The saber system no longer has strange sudden deaths that look like freak accidents. NPC's can now engage in saber combat and not look like they're having seizers. Deflecting blaster fire is more difficult, and requires more interaction from the player. The volumetric shading is vastly improved, and the light glow effect makes everything seem more alive. So yeah... I wanna be able to play JO SP with the far superior gameplay and graphics. Since they're both under the Q3 engine I thought maybe that could happen.
