It was much easier to try to achieve stealth. You're absolutely right. 'Persuasion' in JK effectively 'cloaked' you from the eyes of multiple enemies. You didn't have to target each one individually to 'trick' them, which is time-consuming. If you try and mind trick a handful of stormies, by the time you've tricked the last one and started forward, the first one is coming around and shooting at you.
