10dedfish Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 Does anyone know if Raven/Lucasarts is planning to port over to linux besides just server side? I would appreciate any info. 10ded:atat:
r0bman5 Posted October 3, 2003 Posted October 3, 2003 i have no idea... but id released a box of Quake III that was for "Linux/Windows" meaning it worked under both. My guess would be, since JA is a modified Q3 engine, that you could do the same w/ JA. Interesting topic... BUMP to those who know more

A.T. Hun Posted October 4, 2003 Posted October 4, 2003 AFAIK, there will not be a Linux client. However, I was able to install the game and run it nicely using WineX (see Transgaming's site ). I only had to jump through a couple of hoops to get it to install. I wrote up a HOWTO about it here. I sent this link to the JK.net admins, but none of them saw fit to post it.
