cant kick with saberstaff (JA SP)

After promoted to jedi knight and choosing a saberstaff in sp, pressing secondary attack throws the staff and returns with 1 blade activated, and i cant never kick! what gives!~

Pressing secondary fire (alt attack) alone won't cut it. You have to press it along with a direction (forward, backward, left or right) to kick.

 

You can also kick in mid-air using this method (but you can't kick backward while jumping).

 

Please consult the in-game help "PLAY---->Rules" for a list of moves (single and multiplayer have different lists) and how to do them.

They will also tell you how to kick when you press "m" and they will show you all the moves.

ehh..... jump+forward+alt fire = jump+throws staff.....

its acting like a normal saber....except the kata and other staff moves still work..

and i still for "saber throw" in my force menu....><

its jump and hold a direction key then press alt-fire!

i got him to kick.....

i had to use cheats and set saberthrow to 0

and now im kicking like a madman

 

but i also heard that when u switch off 1 blade u can throw the saber again? but without the force saberthrow.... altfire with only one blade dont do anything, not even kick....

You can't kick because you didn't hold a direction key before u press alt-fire!

Exactly, it IS possible to have saber throw AND use kicks when one blade is turned off.

 

Hold direction, hit fire.... kick!

Sort of like how people can't get the Saber Barrier (dual saber throw) to work when they have Saber Throw. Simply hold Primary fire FIRST then press secondary fire (while still holding the first button) to do the move.

But when i press both mouse1 and mouse2 at the same time i could do katas or the the defence barrier with no problem.
