Samus
All of a sudden, dynamic glow didn't work anymore. When I turn it on, the framerate drops as usual, but the glow-effects are gone. Everything was fine earlier today. Actually, this happened right after I downloaded a windows update. I also noticed that my framerates suddenly have dropped. I used to be able to play with dynamic glow and volumetric shadows with acceptable framerates (25-50). Now, I had to turn off the shadows to make it bearable. What is wrong with this game??!!!! Samus
Ah, me stupid idiot! I forgot to turn off AA. I eneabled it for another game and forgot that it was still on. That still doesn't explain why dynamic glow was disabled, but it's all OK now.
Andy867
Something you could try to help improve your performance that really has no purpose for most users, is to disable Force Feedback in case you havent done so already. This is on by default for people who use joysticks that support Force Feedback, but most people do not, and this causes a huge drop in performance. To turn off, load up SP (for SP Only), and then go to Controls, and under Mouse/Other options you will see the Force Feedback YES Click the yes to turn it to no which will put you back to the main screen. You will then notice at least a 15-30 Framerate increase, possibly even more.
