Brownie
Just reached Cairn Assembly level, at the bit where you have to jump up the platform with the automated welder wizzing around you. Suddenly, my save game files have leapt up in size. I've looked at all the past ones, and they average 1 to 2 Meg. Now they're 7 or 8 Meg in size, and are taking a correspondingly large time to load up when I use them. The only thing that's changed on my system is a new graphics card - a Radeon 9800Pro, which upraded from a Geforce 3 Ti200. But I don't see why that should make any difference. Is it just some quirk on this level? Cheers Brownie
Sam Fisher
Um, with a video card like that, I would have upped the graphics also It might be that.
Brownie
But surely save games don't save the actual graphics, do they? I thought they'd just save your position in the game, plus the state of any other variables - other characters and objects around you. That shouldn't change with a graphics card upgrade. Samuel Dravis
Try resetting you grapics options to the lowest possible, then save them and exit. Then start up again, set them high, and see what that does. If this doesn't work, try the Tech Help forum.
