Akshara
I too would have to vote for a compilation thread - that allows for mod/admin posting only - which only lists the top cvars and cheats. While the "Not Enough Customization for Full Version? Try these Cheats!" sticky has a lot of information, it's way too large to effectively find anything past the first couple of pages, and the rambling from members is just too much. It's the last thread I'll go into to find information, even if it's the first one that pops up in a search.
Kurgan
Well the thing is if you want to compile such a list you need patience, and if reading every post in that thread is what it takes, so be it. What, you think we have all the time in the world to do it for you? Shame on you! ; ) Just kidding... but be my guest. Skinwalker had a working list going for awhile (you can see his early efforts in the Demo link from the first post on the Not Enough Customization thread) but he couldn't keep up). The posting of "new" cheats has really slowed down in the last week or so, so now would be the time to compile your list. Go for it, post it up and people will use it. I've been trying to get people to post their cheats and cvars into the "Not Enough Customization thread" specifically for this purpose (for people wanting to compile lists). But sadly we have a dozen or so "list all your cheats here" threads becauase everybody thinks they can organize it into a nice list then they abandon it and the thread gets buried. You'll ALWAYS get chatter and people saying "I tried this cheat and it won't work!" or "how do you get this cheat" etc.
razorace
Agreed. I've already started a cvar/command master listing as part of OJP. the first version of this cvar list was in the first release of OJP. However, it doesn't have much since I'm the only one to add stuff to the list so far. Please contact me if you want to help add stuff to the listing. Kurgan
Good idea RA. I actually thought about doing this myself, but never "got around to it" and more stuff kept getting added.
razorace
Well, the biggie is that I need people to submit more data in the given format. I could do a lot of the work myself, but it's simply too boring and too time consumming to have to go thru each cvar, test it, and then write about it. BJP3E
how does one look at cvars I have more time than I know what do with alot of the time
razorace
Well, the easiest way is to just pick a letter and then press tab to scan thru all the cvars. In MP, you can also just type /aletterorseriesofletters to get a list. I also think there's a master cvarlist command ("cvarlist") but I'm not sure. The key is to get the correct formating for the listing so me or one of the other OJP moderaters basically has to fully rewrite the damn thing. I'll post the current listing to give you an idea of what we're looking for. Suggestions are welcome.
razorace
Ok, I've posted the listing here.
